Another Journey to Islam

As I promised you, I'm back with the story of the second Briton who converted to Islam. He was raised as a Christian when he was a child, but he later continued his life as a secular because the concepts of Christianity didn't fit well in his mind. He worked as a teacher of English almost everywhere in the Globe before he ended up working in Italy where he found a flat owned by a Muslim Pakistani guy. "The guy overwhelmed me with hospitality and kindness; I didn't know what he was up to!" The British guy said. Everything went normally until he started feeling some changes in the Paki's look and behavior. He wondered and hesitited to ask for a while before the Pakistani man explained that he decided to be a good Muslim and practice Islam properly. Since then the Briton got interested in the Paki's faith, not for anything other than curiosity. From time to time they used to sit together for a chat about Islam and Muslims practices. He spent one year before the Pakistani guy decided to go back and live in Pakistan. The British guy continued to work in Italy for a while before he came back to the UK. He started looking for a job in the area where he lived. It wasn't an easy task to do so. After waiting for quite a long time without any signs of success he started getting desperate and hopeless. "God, if you do exist give me this last joy and find me a job" he was whispering sarcasticly to himself. One day he was skimming the newspaper when he read a job vacancy advertisement saying "Teacher of English needed for a Pakistani School". That rang the bill again in his head and took him back to his days in Italy and he said "Why not"! It was a different experience for him to teach in that school. The vast majority of students and teachers were Muslims; Girls were wearing Hijab all the time and classes were stopped twice a day to hold prayers. "Every time I asked a question about Islam students started shouting: Sir, are you going to Convert?" He narrated. Day after day he was unintentionally building a new knowledge about Islam, until it got him to the point when he felt he must do something about it. He started his own reading, research, and questioning all the issues he wasn't certainly sure about. Finally, when he felt he was ready for the step that would turn his life dramatically, he made Shahada and declared his Islam.
"I wish my Pakistani friend was here today to tell him: Today you and I are following the same path, the righteous path".
