Brain Teaser

These are just quick thoughts that have just come across my mind. I still seek answers for them: 1. Why do the Arab people resent their governments for what is going on in Lebanon these days. What else can governments do? 2. Other than giving donations to the Palestinians and Lebanese, what else can Jordanians do?
3. Palestinians have been suffering from continuous and consistent killing, destruction and torture for ages and in particular after Al-Aqsa Intifada started, and Gaza has been under intensive fire for one month now. Why is it only now that Jerish Festival organisers decided to cancel its events -due to the situation in Lebanon as they stated-?
4. Yesterday I was in the anti-Israel demonstration in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon in London . It was so weird that no one was holding the British flag or any placard with a photo for Queen Elizabeth. Don't you agree it is?! (Images courtesy of Petra and saveleb.org) 5. I do miss the rallies and demos in UJ (University of Jordan). Has anyone got any pics for last week's one? I hope no casualties took place this time and that the security forces didn't use expired tear-gas grenades there -or something that was made in Israel-! I'm still seeking the answers. Can you help?

Because almost all of the Lebanese and Syrian and other Arab stars who signed up for the Jeresh festival refused to entertain while Arab civilians are being butchered by Jews and Americans.

we don't cancel Jeresh festival because we want to or because it was the right thing to do. The "right thing to do" is not in the dictionary of our "pragmatic" official institutions.

Very valid questions:
- Arab governments among other have goven donations to support both people's. if the Arab world expects their leaders to declare war, or boycot the west, they still have a lot to learn about how the world works.
- I guess the anonymous source was right about the stars not coming to the festival, in terms of participation, the rest comes natural that no one will attend for whatever reason.
- The ralley in london!!! impressive, but who listened. Were the voices heard? If it takes carrying a banner with the picture of whoever it is in the world to geyt the point accross, so be it.
- I'll try and get you pics from the UJ demonstrations.. good luck..
