MetaCafe and Jajah, A Conspiracy?
Few days ago I posted a footage video showing the barbaric Zionist settlers in Hebron. I uploaded the video file to Google Video, YouTube and MetaCafe. I got the film live on YouTube straightaway and in a couple of hours on Google Video. In regard to MetaCafe, they sent the film to a number of their reviewers somewhere on earth to check the content of the film and either recommend it or reject it.
Few minutes after submitting the film I received the following email from one of the reviewers:
you have received a reply to your item on: Palestinian Students Under Occupation - Hebron
spearhead wrote: occupationrelative term i presume there was a jewish settlement in hebron since -800 B.C that ended in 1921 in a mascare the arabs of hebron did at the jews but lets call it occupation the arabs were there first...
p.s. try to find a palestinian before 1930 it didnt exist because it was invented than in order to take away the little land the jews has(21000 square kilometer is isreal - 96000 square kilometers -jordan -4.5million residents 4 million of whom are so caled palestinian which one should be palestine?)
A couple of hours leter I received another email from a different reviewer that reads:
you have received a reply to your item on: Palestinian Students Under Occupation - Hebron

In addition, in crowd control situations the police face the trouble makers which is exactly what they were doing, pushing the israeli kids away from the Muslim children. BTW this is what kids do to children from different schools thru out the world. As for fixing the step, you are living in a third world county, try going to some other middle eastern countries and find perfection. You are the racist here by mis labelling your crap. """"(:)@
I became suspicious of the kind of reviewers MetaCafe is selecting. Finally few days after submitting the film I received the following wonderful email from MetaCafe themselves:
Your submitted item Palestinian Stu...- has been rejected due to the following reason:Item was found unsuitable for MetaCafe. The item was found unsuitable for MetaCafe by members of the MetaCafe community. The item might contain pornographic, revolting, hate or malicious content.Your item will not be distributed to the MetaCafe community. We encourage you to take a look at our tips page. Good luck on your next submissions!Thank you for being an active MetaCafe community member!
Don't be surprised, yes it was rejected although till now I can't categorise it in any of the mentioned categories (pornographic, revolting, hate or malicious content). To cut the long story short, I then came to find the big secret behind MetaCafe on their website (or at least was looked like a secret for me):
Metacafe's headquarters are based in Palo Alto California with development in Tel-Aviv Israel.Founded in July 2003, Metacafe is funded by Benchmark Capital and Accel Venture Partners.
Benchmark is an Israeli firm based in the "Israeli" city of Herzlyia and has offices in the Silicon Valley and London. This is the list of companies Benchmark has founded, funded or acquired:
It won't be hard to notice the big names in the list. This incident reminded me with another similar incident I read about few months ago. In October 2005 an Israeli firm, Sequoia Capital, acquired Jajah, the very promising web-activated VoIP telephony company, and moved their development centre to "Israel", a scenario photocopying MetaCafe's.
We already know how far the Zionists have gone in controlling the media worldwide, and in my own understanding I cannot exclude the above acquisitions from their surroundings. I might be mistaken on this, but even though, prevention is always better than cure.
Oh by the way, speaking about the media monopolisation, has anyone ever wondered why has Al-Jazeera International missed three launches so far? Here is the answer:

Another brilliant post. Thanks for the work on this one.
Metacafe has an interface in Hebrew, I guess it is targeting Jewish and its not logical to put such clips.
Thanks for sharing it.
Dear Jabal,
I'm sorry to hear this and I'm surprised at the answers you received.
I don't want to get in any political discussion and I don't have enough background knowledge.
But I can assure that Jajah is not involved into any "conspiracy" or political discussion. Sequoia Capital is a US venture firm and has invested in Jajah, it's still an Austrian company. The simple reason why we have a development team in Israel is that Yair Goldfinger (founder of ICQ and board member of Jajah) knew a couple of excellent engineers from his former ICQ times and so we started to built up the development team in Israel and that's where it still is.
Best regards from Mountain View,
Frederik
Actually, the fact that Metacafe is based in Israel has nothing to so with anyone who is funding us - we were founded by Israelis.
I'm sorry to see you think this is some big conspiracy against Muslims, but if you search the site you will see we do not have any videos that are hateful towards any people - including muslims. I can't tell you how many videos I have personally removed for being entirely too controversial and hateful towaards any people.
Metacafe offers interfaces and videos in many differnet languages, not just Hebrew (and Japanese).
We are not targeting religions or nationalities - we're targeting people who want to watch cool video clips.
I'd like to point out one very important fact: anyone can be a Metacafe reviewer - you just need to download the application and sign up. As such, we have reviews from literally all around the world and of probably all relgions. When videos are uploaded to Metacafe, they are automatically sent out to a deisgnated number of RANDOM reviewers who watch the video to let us know if it contains any content that Metacafe doesn't approve of, such as porn, extreme violence, illegal activities, etc.
The reviewers take our place as Metacafe workers, since we cannot possibly view thousands of videos a day. They ensure that no illegal videos of any kind make it to the site.
Feel free to open up the discussion on our forums. As one of the moderators, I can tell you that we have people from ALL around the world, even there on the forums, and they can attest to that.
